Choosing health insurance is an important decision for you and your family. ESI offers four different medical plans, including one that is paired with an HSA. We also have dental and vision plans, so you can tailor coverage to meet your specific needs.

MEDICAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS

CareFirst medical insurance options include both regional HMO and national PPO plans with multiple levels to fit the needs of you and your eligible family members. Each plan includes:
  • no referrals needed.
  • $0 cost for preventive health care visits.
  • one of the best prescription drug coverage plans in the industry.
  • 24/7 nurse advice line, video visits, convenience care clinics, and urgent care centers.
  • optional one-on-one coaching and support programs. These programs can play a huge role in keeping you healthy or helping you manage your current health conditions, including help with things like healthier eating and stress management.


DENTAL

CareFirst Dental insurance is a national PPO plan that provides your family with routine preventative care and assistance with the more expensive aspects of dental health.

VISION

CareFirst Vision coverage makes regular exams and the purchase of glasses and contacts simple and affordable.

HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNT (HSA)

For those choosing the High Deductible Healthcare Plan, a HSA is available to set aside pre-tax dollars for your future healthcare needs. An HSA is like a retirement plan for your healthcare needs.

HEALTH CARE FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT (FSA)

Health Care FSAs allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for qualified medical, dental, and vision expenses – those that are not covered by your health plan or anywhere else.

FSA DEPENDENT CARE

This FSA type allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible dependent care expenses like child or adult daycare programs. You’ll save money while providing care for your family so that you can continue to work.

Employee Assistance Program

Through The Guardian, all employees can use a free, confidential Employee Assistance Program to help with many of life’s challenges. The EAP includes resources to get you started in meeting your mental wellness needs, relationship challenges, life events, financial counseling, and more.

Income Insurance

Any unplanned incident that affects your ability to earn income is stressful. Our income insurance helps reduce that stress and gives you support when you need it most.

LIFE

Group Term Basic Life Insurance is available in the amount of 100% of your annual salary, up to $130K. ESI pays 100% of all premium costs.

AD&D

Your Basic Life Coverage includes Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance. ESI pays 100% of all premium costs.

SHORT-TERM DISABILITY

Short-term Disability insurance covers 60% of your salary, to a maximum of $1,500/week. ESI pays 100% of all premium costs.

LONG-TERM DISABILITY

Long-term Disability insurance covers 60% of your salary, to a maximum of $8,000/month. ESI pays 100% of all premium costs.

Paid Time Off

VACATION

Vacation Leave starts accruing on your first day with ESI, and we regularly encourage you to use some or all your annual vacation leave to rest, relax, and pursue special interests. Generous vacation carry-over is automatically applied annually.

HOLIDAY

ESI follows the federal government (OPM) standard holiday schedule, granting employees the following 11 paid holidays:

  • Columbus Day
  • Veteran’s Day

SICK AND SAFE

We all need time to recuperate when not feeling well. That’s why ESI provides 40 hours of annual sick leave (pro-rated for new employees). You’ll start with 40 hours of sick leave at the beginning of each year and can carry over up to 200 hours at the end of each year.

JURY DUTY

ESI employees receive up to 5 days (40 hours) of paid time off for jury duty. PARENTAL LEAVE (for Mothers and Fathers) ESI offers paid parental leave for the first 10 missed workdays following the birth, adoption, or placement of a foster child.

BEREAVEMENT

ESI offers from 1 to 3 days for bereavement leave in the event of the death of an immediate family member.

Retirement Savings

We encourage all our employees to plan for their financial future. By offering both pre-tax traditional 401(k) accounts and post-tax Roth 401(k) Safe Harbor accounts, and contributing a match of up to 4% every pay period, ESI’s Retirement Savings plan can help you meet your financial goals.
